Library Resource Centre
Welcome to the Library Resources Centre
The resources centre is open to all students to carry out research and homework. It's their resource to use and enjoy.
The Resources Centre can be used for homework, reference and leisure. We always give priority to students using the Centre for homework, coursework or quiet reading. Students may borrow up to four books at any time for a maximum of three weeks.
The Resources Centre is also regularly used by subject teachers to enable students to develop their information skills during class time.
Information and resources are available for everyone including:
- 26 computers linked to our network with over 500 software packages and access to the Internet.
- A well stocked library with over 5,000 fiction, non-fiction titles and reference books.
- A stationery shop where students can buy basic equipment at reasonable prices.
- Daily newspaper sand magazines.
- Games ranging from chess and draughts to puzzles enabling students to develop different skills
- Photocopying for research and homework
The Centre is open Monday then Wednesday to Friday at lunchtime and after College three days a week to enable students to access computers, software and other online and reference materials. Tuesday lunchtime is Reading Day and clubs are organised for different year groups.
