The Jack Petchey Award
Bonus Pastor Young Achievers have been recognised through the Jack Petchey Award. The Jack Petchey Award is a nationally renowned award and each winner is one of the country’s future leaders, chosen by the students in their Year.
The previous winners are:
Year 11 Shelley Smith
‘I was nominated for the Jack Petchey award for my reliability as a prefect. Now that I have won, I feel that my role as a student and prefect of Bonus Pastor has been recognised in a positive way.’
Year 10 Andrew Musungu
I was nominated for the Jack Petchey Awards as were many other students in Year 10. I want to congratulate them for also being nominated.
It is a privilege to receive this award and I am deeply thankful.
I feel as a role model to many younger students, and this I am very proud of.
I have not yet decided what I am going to do with the money, but I am planning to a survey to consider other people’s thoughts.
Year 9 Annabel Mothee
“I feel happy winning this award and I would like to thank all the students who voted for me. I am not quite sure yet what I would like to do with the money but it will be related to my passions: Drama, dancing and singing.”
Year 8 Kimberley Akpeki
I am thankful and delighted that I have been chosen to make a positive contribution to our college community. At the moment I am thinking of maybe using this money to start a College newspaper for students here at Bonus Pastor, so watch this space.
